When I was a kid, I used to collect all kinds of stickers—small ones, big ones, colorful, cartoonish, nature-themed, animals, holographic, matte—you name it. I had a sticker album where I’d carefully place them all, and you could often find me flipping through the pages, lost in the vibrant explosion of color and brightness.
The use of smiley faces in my artwork comes from a desire to make smiles more contagious, to spread a little happiness. It’s funny how they say that when you’re feeling down, forcing a smile can trick your brain into thinking you’re happy, sending out signals of joy. It’s amazing how powerful a smile can be, right? Haha!
